6063 aluminum profile is widely used in the framework of building aluminum windows and doors and aluminum curtain walls. In order to ensure that doors, windows and curtain walls have high wind pressure resistance, assembly performance, corrosion resistance and decoration performance, the comprehensive performance requirements of 6063 aluminum profiles are much higher than those in industry aluminium profile standards. The aluminium alloy 6063 T5 series of aluminum profiles belong to the industrial aluminium frame profiles. They are mainly used for the rapid construction of industrial aluminium profile frame structures. They have high carrying capacity and superior physical properties. They are widely used in the construction aluminum profile of industrial production lines and the manufacture of basic equipment, such as: production line safety protection, workshop workbench, automation field, etc.

 

 

At present, the commonly used 6063 aluminum profile has two specifications: 6063-T5 and 6063-T6.

 

 

6063-T5 architectural aluminum profiles must have certain mechanical properties. When other conditions are the same, its tensile strength and yield strength increase with increasing content.

 

 

6063 aluminium profile is an 6063 aluminum alloy with aluminum-magnesium-silicon as the main element. The chemical composition of 6063 aluminum profile in the GB/T5237-93 standard is 0.2-0.6% silicon, 0.45-0.9% magnesium and iron. The higher limit is 0.35%, and the remaining impurity elements ( Cu, Mn, Zr, Cr, etc.) are all less than 0.1%. It has excellent processing properties, excellent weldability, extrudability and electroplating properties, good corrosion resistance, toughness, easy polishing, color film, and excellent anodizing effect. It is a typical aluminum extrusion alloy. 6063 aluminium alloy is widely used in the construction industry, and its profiles generally become architectural aluminum profiles.

 

 

What is the difference between the state of 6063 aluminum profile alloy T5 and T6

T5 and T6 are both a kind of heat treatment method.

T5 is that the aluminium alloy 6063 T5 is extruded from the extruder with air cooling to quickly cool the aluminum profile to the hardness requirement (Webster's 8-12 hardness).

 

 

T6 is the 6063 aluminium profile that is extruded from the extruder and water-cooled to instantly cool the aluminum profile, so that the aluminum profile can reach higher hardness requirements (Webster's 13.5 hardness or more). T5 is generally air-cooled when quenching in the profile factory. T6 Water cooling is generally used for quenching in profile factories. Both have the same elastic modulus. Under normal circumstances, the T5 state is used. If the deflection of the rod passes but the tensile strength is slightly worse, the T6 state can be used. The strength of T6 is better than T5, but the price of T6 is generally 500-1000 yuan higher than T5.
